Concern over Hubert's business practices

Would you trust your deposits to a financial institution who carried on prohibited business practices? Hubert is a division of Sunova, a credit union in Manitoba, registered with and regulated by the FIRB Manitoba, whose deposits are insured by the CUDGC of Manitoba. In November 2010, the Registrar of Credit Unions for Saskatchewan ordered Hubert/Sunova to cease and desist carrying on business in their province and comply with a series of orders. In Nova Scotia, the Department of Finance reported a similar allegation on their site. Hubert/Sunova either didn't know the basic regulations of operating a credit union in Canada or else they knew and contravened anyway. Either way, it's unsettling to say the least.
