Beats me how financial institutions like this have the nerve to proclaim that they offer "rates that are always in your best interest" when their maximum regular for a five-yr GIC is 2.0% . How can I trust anything else they say?

Loonie, you may have missed the fine print underlying their claim: "As far as we're concerned".......... "rates that are always in your best interest"
