5.43% they offer? That's good interest. And ... many takers?
I learned that HTB practice 'alternative lending'. Not sure what it is exactly. Is it noble path to bankruptcy? Don't want to bad-mouth either, have no idea. Hence the question.

I wanted to buy, but locked up my funds in Feb. Sigh. I just can't catch a break.

As long as you stay below CDIC limits, who cares what they do with the money. Let them wipe monkey arses, as long as they pay you that protected rate. sf-smile
