Don't mention trying to create a link to an investment account at a brokerage account. The EQ Bank rep probably got confused.

Instead, ask about creating a link to a Bank of Montreal US$ chequing account and another to a Bank of Montreal Canadian dollar chequing account. They will know how to help you with that.

Leave out the part about the chequing accounts being special bank accounts connected to your BMO InvestorLine investment accounts. EQ Bank doesn't need to know anything about that.

I still have the links at EQ Bank and at Hubert to the BMO AccountLink chequing account for my BMO InvestorLine account.
