I have GICs maturing and I asked Oaken if they could give me their rates as of yesterday. They replied:

We do not hold rates. However since the investments you are referring to are registered (RSP and TFSA), you qualify for our best rate guarantee, which means we will go back 30 days from the maturity date and give you the highest rate.

I am pretty happy with this and once again Tangerine sucks despite their speciate 2.75% and 2.8% offers for couple months.
