Hi

I was wondering if other then ICICI are there any other banks that offer High Interest US$ dollar accounts. I think manulife has one as well but you need to go through a financial adviser to get one.

HSBC has a US High Rate Interest Savings Account -> http://www.hsbc.ca/1/2/!ut/p/k.....av_LINC_EN

"Grab that along with their Direct Savings Account"

Re-upping this for anyone interested. EQ Bank is offering 2% on a US$ Savings Account. Not what I would call high interested but better than RBC's 0.4%. The account can be linked with a 'bricks and mortar' bank US dollar account and funds moved back and forth without conversion fees or other charges. Biggest issue I can see is the week-long hold when transferring funds between institutions so important to plan ahead and be prepared.

I opened one of these EQ USD accounts a while back, but leave very little in it now that I can get 4.4% (USD Series F) in a Royal Bank ISA:

Here is the url to find out more info:

That's too big of a spread to pass up. All one needs is a brokerage account with an online investment dealer like QTrade.
