I’d appreciate it if someone could point me to a decent template with built in graphs that could show me monthly income projections for GICs and other fixed income/structured notes that I own. TIA.

eg I have monthly income from ISAs, yearly from GICs, semi-annual from bonds/other. It be nice to see/plan from high level.

I never could find anything online that does what I need, so I created my own specific Spreadsheet in the FREE LibreOffice program.

If you have the inclination and some modest computer skills, it is not difficult to create a spreadsheet that will be perfect for your needs. Frankly, I find the process quite satisfying and while I hated doing my accounting books over the years, I find the process of creating and maintaining my spreadsheet very pleasant and something I actually look forward to.

Below is a link to FREE and OPEN LibreOffice, or alternatively if you already have Excel/MS Office, give that a whirl. Look to Youtube for any help in getting started with spreadsheet use. There are a ton of tutorials for beginners and the FREE Libre Office or Open Office work almost the same as Excel.

Also, while google offers spreadsheet use online that can provide some dynamic real time data, I prefer to create and maintain my spreadsheet myself offline.

Good luck!

Sounds like you and I have the same hobby. Probably a lot of others in these forums too. I have a complex and sizeable Excel workbook that tracts all our Cash, GICs, Bonds, Equities and Funds. Plus BoC, CPIs, TSX, S&P, DJA and NASDAQ. Fortunately, my wife as a retired CA is also quite fluent in Excel, as are my daughter and partner, so this thing will have a lot of the data needed by them when I move below the grass line.

lol - yes some more days above ground playing with my spreadsheet will be preferred.

While I am far from any accounting level math skills, it's amazing what can be represented with even modest =SUM(what:ever) effort in a spreadsheet. Sounds like yours is indeed *very* well fleshed out.

Happy to hear of others in same boat
