Today we made a multiple purpose trip to do a deposit at Credit Union 1 only to have my card rejected. So now off to the Post Office and then to Big Bank 1.....both tasks accomplished. Went to Credit Union 2 only to once again have my card rejected and since I didn't want to carry the cheque, I deposited it using another ATM card/Credit Union. On the way to stop 4 I said to my wife.....sure would be nice if they had that cheque deposit app so we could have skipped two trips to the Credit Unions. Wife picks up the non working card and says....do you know this card is expired 12/15?sf-cry My response was no, and this is the first time ever that I have not had a new card well before expiry date. So I call the Credit Union that holds all my slush funds for the better interest rate between the Savings account and GIC's well over $90,000 only to find that the re-issue of a card is only done if you have used the card within two years. I use it fairly regularly for deposits only, never withdraw, but do a few push/pulls so somehow my re-issued card fell through the cracks and will have to wait 2 weeks for a new one...not a big deal. So that means my wife's card is null and void and she too will have to ask for another (which we won't do). But what if I am away or deathly ill.....how can she access the funds? Isn't that going too far to not re-issue a valid card???

So low and behold I just get an email from Implicitly that they now have the app which makes me happy BUT not the right credit union as I have a purpose for each one (Credit Union). Hopefully competition will help us out. sf-confused
