Could be banks don't need savers money at the moment because gov't money (and LIBOR rates) are cheaper.

Have a great day

That is EXCACTLY what you need to do. Let your money speak on your behalf as that is what banks understand today more than anything else.

I moved from HSBC (.80%) to ATB (1.2%) for the same reasons. Just a lot larger amount was involved. HSBC main brach called me long distance and asked I reconsider, but I said my mind was made up so they paid for everything to go to ATB in hopes I would redeposit with them again one day... (Sure, if they are willing to do more %).

Have a great day

well im trying to save every penny as that is my life savings.
The CDF guy lawrance called me back to. all I wanted was 2.1 which PT was offering.
and he could nt give it to me. it only works out to about 13$ a month, at the time.
they could have given me a 200 dollar gift card, some place and I would have stayed.
these banks dont care. so I dont care anymore either.

the consumers only power is to fight back with the assets they control. It doesnt matter if its buy clothes or food or a car or keeping money in a bank. If people do nothing then nothing will change. If more people reacted this way then the little guy would have the power. But most dont do a thing and so we dont have the power...
