MomentumCU.ca is offering 2.2% on 18 months deposits, on personal and business accounts (I called, asked, talked to Laura). Maybe needs a walk in. Located in Oakville and Brampton, both in Ontario.

Meridian CU also has 2.2 on 18 months, but I don't know if it's available to Business members.
Meridian membership is theoretically available to anyone in Canada, and has many branches in southern Ontario. However, someone reported that they couldn't open a GIC without attending in person.
Both these offers will likely only be available until the end of the month or thereabouts, that being the end of RSP season.

Momentum charges $100 for RRSP transfer out fee, while Meridian charges $50 like most others

Hello Loonie, I think you are referring to me. Yes, accurate. However, I could submit a Credit Card application online so I am not sure if it is because of a flag on my credit or something else. Anyway, decided to go with Tangerine's Mutual Funds.

I hope that the Tang funds work out well for you. They get a pretty good review from Couch Potato for amounts under 50K.
