I just noticed that TD and RBC have quietly lowered their "high interest" savings account rate another 5 basis points to 0.50%.
I didn't check to see whether the others have followed suit yet, and I don't know when, exactly, they did this, but it's certainly within the last few months and probably more recently. TD says it's the rate as of today, Nov 16, so perhaps it just changed today. AlternaBank still lists the comparative rate at 0.55, so is already out of date.
