Wanted to get everyone's opinion on which FI is best in each class of account. Here's my list:
Best for day to day all around : Alterna Bank and Motus Bank and Motive Financial (tie)
Best HISA: Motive Financial (if they maintain their rate, otherwise any of the others besides Maxxa or Luminus due to high fees )
Best GIC: Whoever's highest (besides Maxxa or Luminus due to high fees)
Best TFSA: Steinbach or Access (tie)
Best RRSP: Hubert or Oaken (tie)

When I rate a company or its services I base it on experience not just what they offer on paper. The rates charts on this site indicate the FIs which lead the pack in those areas. Many contributors to this site have detailed, in the past, their experiences, both good and bad, with their own personal FIs. I find it somewhat perplexing that Motus Financial is among your best in any category as they have just started business recently. They have little history to base an opinion on.

In order to reasonably determine which FIs are the best, one would have to create a questionnaire, with most of the FIs listed, and ask people to rate their experiences in various categories, eg. services offered and especially customer service. Then tabulate the results and get a true consensus, assuming enough people participated in the survey. Doing a poll, such as you are suggesting here, would not be the best way to do this, but good luck anyway.
