Hello, A question for those who administer this site:
Why doesn't EQ Bank appear on the Comparison Chart? I believe they have the highest rate at the moment at 2.25%, although I was disappointed at their very short stay up at 3%.

I had removed EQ Bank from the chart because of the wait list and the many reports of long wait times and frustrating setup experiences. However, it looks like the wait list has been removed?

Peter's note at the bottom of the Comparison Chart said the reason why. For what it is worth, that rate is going to go down even more, by the end of the year if not sooner. No one pays more than they have to pay to attract deposits.

As far I can see, EQ is open for new business again, so could probably return to the "active" list. The decrease in rate and end of advertising probably reduced demand substantially.
They are still a pain to deal with, from my experience.

I have accounts open with 9 of the banks on the current Comparison Chart and almost all can be a bit of a pain to deal with if you get the wrong person on the other end of the line. I haven't had any issues with EQ Bank thus far, and no unacceptable delays in setting up the account. There have also been some major decreases in interest rates from other banks in the last couple of years, not just EQ. Would appreciate it if EQ is added back on the Comparison Chart and thank you for keeping up the great work in administering this site.

And EQ is back on the comparison chart. Alas, I wasn't able to get my account opened before my birthday...I was stuck in the reservation slot then. Perhaps next year, I'll get my birthday special :)
