I meant to come here and ask for a referral code, but forgot. Now I've already opened my account today. Does anyone know if EQ will accept a late referral code?

I referred a friend to Tangerine some time ago. If he used my Orange Key when opening account Tangerine would give me $50. He did not give them the key so I did not get the $50. Enjoy the day.

You can refer her yourself if you have an account there.
It says the programme is for "close personal or family relationships".

Thanks everyone for your help. Sadly I'm out of luck. The answer to my question was no, you have to use the referral link to open the account and it can't be added later.

I always seem to manage to mess these up. Oh well. (Sorry PWM - thanks anyway.)

If you do not use link with ref code, it is not possible to add it later.
You will have to close account, wait few weeks until they manually do that and THEN use link with ref code to sign up again.

I do not think there is a limit how many new customers can use ONE ref code. Please correct me if I am wrong.

No, do not bother. Since I already opened account, if I close it and open it again I will be considered as returning customer and no bonus will be awarded even if I sign up again using referral link 🙁
