The Fine Print
Deposit funds must be new to DUCA.
This Promotion account is not available for the following: ATM Access, bill payments, telephone banking, cheque deposits through the mobile banking app, or any type of e-transfer, including Me-to-Me transfers.
At the end of the promotional period, all funds in the Member's Promotion account will automatically transfer into the non-promotional Earn More Savings Account.
Members will be able to view the Promotion account through online banking and on their Statements.

I think the warning about not depositing through transfers or cheque deposit app means that you have to deposit to another account and then phone to have it transferred to the promo account. That is the way it has worked in the past.

This offer has been there for a few months.
I plan to move our TNG 5.0% and 5.25% before they expire Jul 31, unless one or both get extended of course.
Then, the hope is that DUCA will keep extending their 4.75% one month at a time as they have often done in the past...

Their multiple savings accounts does lead to confusion. Also, are you able to deposit directly to one of the earn more savings account or does it have to be done by DUCA staff?

To be a bit more precise, the Earn More Park account at 3.25 still exists, but you can no longer contribute to it and there is no reason you'd want to. I still have a little bit in it which I've not got around to moving.

Thanks, good to know. I don't have any Spring or Summer Promo accounts yet. I guess I have to phone DUCA to add a new promo account with new fund.

In the body of the email I received it reads new $ and $ already in the promotional account.
I only have $1 in my promotional account @ DUCA which still reads 3.25% for some reason. Since our $ are already @ 5.25% @ TNG through Oct, I'm not going to worry about it until early Oct - moving $ in/out of TNG's 5.25% is much easier than DUCA's ...

New money only, as stated in their promotional ad. I actually have had the account open previously and to just be sure, transfered the $$ back out of Duca to my home bank. It was received yesterday and I did the transfer back to Duca as "New money" You always have to call them and they will move to the summer account from park account. This is their way of verifying that it is "New money"
Great rate I think 5.25% with ability to move anytime you want. GL
