It may not be a good sign if they've removed the end date for the promo savings rate.
A few years ago they had a similar promo and decreased the rate without an announcement. We need to keep an eye on this.

I believe you can transfer money out of the Earn More Park account into the other accounts but not vice versa.

yup you can not self serve deposit into the EMPA as they need to check the fund to make sure it qualifies. Withdrawal can be self serve, but it can not direct from the EMPA to linked FI. Have to do internal transfer first, and then to linked.

Duca has been awful quiet on the GIC special front after a couple yrs of challenging near the top

Anyone who wants a GIC with Duca should buy from a GIC broker/agent, where rates are so much higher than Duca's own posted GIC rates.
e.g. currently, 1 yr. 3.75% v.s. 1.70%; 2 yrs. 3.90% v.s. 1.90%.

Interesting. Which GIC broker/agent should we use?

Fiscal Agents would be one, if one has $25,000+ and is interested in a DUCA GIC.

Another GIC broker/agent in the GTA with the higher Duca rates is Monarch Wealth.

I would expect so
I just bought one last month, from GIC WEALTH-- which turned out to be DUCA
(I didn't specify DUCA-- I just specified the highest rate available)

If you're going to buy a DUCA GIC from broker and also have an Earn More Park savings Account there, remember they are all under the same insurance. Limit 250K non-registered per account holder. Buying through a broker doesn't change this.
