Was looking into travel creditcards today. retirement is close and we plan on doing SOME travel. At least one nice trip a year minimum, plus frequent cross-border trips. Was leaning toward the Westjet card. Don't usually apply for cards with a fee, but the bonuses/perks might make it worthwhile, and Westjet is our preferred carrier.
Was reading the T&C when I noticed this:

WestJet RBC Mastercard – $39 for the primary card and $19 for each additional card.
WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard – $99 (this fee will increase to $119 effective
November 1, 2017) for the primary card and $49 (this fee will increase to $59 effective November 1, 2017) for each additional card.
Was humming and hawing about paying 150 a year for the privilege of using their card, but 180 I'm not too sure about.

just thought I'd pass along the fee increase notification.

I ditched the card this year by switching to TD aeroplane Visa. The problem with this card is the companion voucher is only valid for WestJet direct operated flights. So make sure you know where you are going for the year.

Also you need to book directly from westjet website, and normally their price is not that competitive.

Last the free checked baggages may not be allowed for those connected flight when you returns. I ended up paying Delta for my return flight baggage fee.
