Hi, wondering if anyone is using Paymi (CIBC) or Ampli (RBC) cashback apps that require you to link your debit/credit card to earn the CB.

Ampli was reviewed here: https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/2020/07/ampli-cash-back-app-review-trading-your-purchase-history-for-rewards/

They require you to enter your bank login info/password via the app to link your card/bank account. As they are backed by CIBC and RBC its not as concerning as some no-name 3rd party app, but wondering if doing this would void any policy from the bank your linking from?

ie... if I link my Scotia Visa Momentum Infinite in the app to earn CB (enter Scotia login credentials in app), is there a risk Scotiabank would consider this voiding of their policy for fraud reimbursement if something fraudulent were to happen to my card or Ampli/Paymi get hacked etc? I know a lot of people are leary abut entering their login credentials on other sites other than their online banking for various reasons, of course.

Aside from that, if anyone has used either of these apps (or others like Dropp/Rakuten) to earn passive cashback, would be great to hear your thoughts and results.

Cheers
