I still have some shinplasters somewhere in my mansion that I inherited from my father. Wonder how much they are worth to-day.

"Shinplaster refers to paper money of low denomination, typically less than one dollar, that circulated widely in the 19th century due to a shortage of coinage. The term is believed to have originated from the use of fractional U.S. notes by soldiers during the Revolutionary War, and it was first used in Canada to describe merchants' scrip that appeared in abundance from 1837 to 1838."

I liked the old CT money. It was anonymous, didn't expire and had that old weird highlander on the face.
