Hi everyone,

I've proposed to move the former "Canadian Tire Financial Services" Wikipedia page from the current "Canadian Tire Services" to its trade name, "Canadian Tire Bank," as Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited, no longer uses the moniker "Canadian Tire Financial Services" (other on one of their service building exterior signages which they've yet to replace), and would welcome anyone's support in favour of this move.

You can see the Bot-instituted notification of the requested move on this page and comment, with your Wikipedia account (it's free to create one, if you don't have one), at this Talk page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Canadian_Tire_Services#Requested_move_25_August_2019

It just doesn't make sense to use as the page name something which is no longer (a) the company's legal name or (b) its operating trade name. sf-cool

Many thanks,
Doug

That's just the domain name. They use it because it's what everyone uses to ask the site, it's shorter than "canadiantirebank.com," and "ctb.com" is probably taken. 😉

Cheers,
Doug

I agree with the change too.

Does anyone ever use them at this time? I signed up for my mother years ago but have ignored CTC for the longest time since they never seem to compete for dollars.
