Hi everyone, I signed up for a Canadian Tire TFSA savings account. How long does it take for me to be able to access my account online? Normally, for other banks, I can immediately log in but Canadian Tire bank's last message said I need to wait up to 10 business days?

Alexandra reported that it took two weeks, after the online application was submitted, for the information package to arrived by mail with necessary forms to complete.

Thanks for the link! Their process seems very outdated

I think if you call in, they can set you up faster.

Just called them and was told I have to wait for the instructions package in the mail, which contains a form for linking an external account and amount to transfer in and a tax residency declaration form

It is only faster to call in to open another deposit account:

If I am an existing customer, do I have to fill out another application for a Canadian Tire High Interest Savings account?

No. If you already have a GIC or HISA with us (thank you, by the way) you can set up a new Canadian Tire GIC or HISA right away by calling Canadian Tire Customer Service at 1-866-…. For Canadian Tire® Credit Cardmembers, sorry, but we’ll need you to fill out a full application. You can do so online, or by calling 1-866-…, between the hours of 8 AM and 9 PM ET Monday to Friday, 8 AM and 6 PM ET Saturday.
