From 1.90% to 1.95%. Not too much but I like it, they increased their rate to 1.95% for their saving accounts

That's always good news.

Great! I had money parked at Coast Capital and I asked myself a few months ago....would it be worth my while to park the funds at Accelerate? I did, it was!! sf-smile

Do they email you of the change or did you just check their site?

I never got any rate increase/decrease alert from them.

At one point in life you stop shopping around and jumping from bank to bank just to get 0.00005% higher rate. I am happy with this fin institution. It is a little bit difficult to do banking with them as they have no internet banking set up but you get used to to get around such 'issues'.

Email from them ? No, I setup an account at http://www.changedetection.com/ and I receive an email as soon as the web page changes. So it did this morning. Nice features....

Thanks. It is about time. Now that Tangerine promo is coming to end, I needed to choose the bank.

Hi. I deal with them to invest only and they are also one of a few that will do RRSP and RRIF investments. I use BMO and Coast Capital for day to day banking. Just out of curiosity what would you want them to do be "less difficult"?

I would like if they had internet banking.
I do not know how you manipulate money with Accelerate but for me in order to:
- deposit - I have to find AccuLink ATM or to send them a cheque (I believe you can ask for prepaid envelopes but am not sure as that way is way to slow and insecure so I never deposit that way)
- withdraw - I have to write a cheque (yes, they are still free)

Otherwise have no complaints at all. Staff is always helpful and pleasant when I call. Rates are the best.

I totally agree, with your last point. I usually talk to Debbie and she is great as are the others. I guess you are looking for the push pull option? I still use cheques but only to transfer from one bank to another and one insurance policy that will only take a cheque for an annual payment. I use ATMs at Coast Capital, Westminster Savings and VanCity. I am happy with that as I don't do deposits or withdrawals very often.
