It is welcome to see some good news for a change on interest rates for us savers, fixed rate investors but we still have to keep in mind that it is a small increase of $10 per $10,000 deposit balance if rates stay at 2.10% for 1 year.

I do like the fact that they do have competitive savings account rates, GIC, RRSP, RRIF, TFSA rates most of the time but are not always the highest.

I would like to see them offer the same competitive rates for RESP, LIRA, LRIF, LIF rates as well. I think in time this is coming, hopefully sooner than later.sf-cool
