Be aware that Accelerate has an unpublished policy whereby if you have less than $10 in your account and you don't have any transactions for six months, they will automatically close your account without notifying you and keep whatever was in the account. sf-confused

So what if your account is inactive but you have a 5 year GIC not yet matured. You are waiting for maturity and want to use your account to move the matured funds?

Then you should make a small deposit (i.e. $20), OR, withdraw $20 every year to keep it active.

I contacted them yesterday and without posting full reply, basically you have to contact them and they will make your account active again without deposit/withdrawals. They have few rules regarding dormant/automatic account closures so if somebody is interested I can copy/paste her reply.
