I used WordPerfect at a few employers. I still have a working installation - I needed it to solve problems for some clients - but it was never my choice. Some clients loved its mailmerge setup.

That would probably be determined during registration/installation of the software.

I didn't follow WordPerfect into the Windows era, but I seem to remember they sort of fumbled that, and MS Word had an easier time being the Windows word processer of choice than it might have otherwise (although I think early versions of MS Word for Windows sucked pretty bad?) I wound up in a Mac work environment in the 90s, but we had a single PC to run a few things including a big Turbo Pascal program I did, and I kept a DOS machine at home for that and WP. Never really did much with Windows other than that.

With Windows 10 and 11, one of your printers is "Microsoft Print to PDF". And that's for anything you may want to print ...
