Today is International Credit Union Day!

I raise a virtual glass to all those credit unions that have treated me nicely and made exemplary contributions to my financial well-being over the last 45 years. And I thank them especially for never going belly-up on me while providing returns not offered by competitors.

To those that have been less helpful, I offer an encouraging word from the teacher's phrasebook: "Can do better". Please do!

Unfortunately my experience with credit unions has generally been less than stellar. They really do need to follow Justin Trudeau's buzz words "We can always do better and will continue our hard work to do so".
