I am interested in getting the reported 2.88% 5yr GIC from Wealth One Bank but when I try to go to their web site I am getting a virus warning & am denied access. Is anyone else having this issue? Thanks

This is interesting, I just clicked on your link & I get a virus alert & I cannot connect to the site. I am using avast software for my anti virus.

I'm not sure what anti-virus we use as that is spouse's domain. Maybe yours is extra-sensitive - or doesn't like Chinese characters!

I logged onto the Wealth One Bank web site yesterday with no issues because I was interested in this 2.88% 5yr GIC that was posted on another thread. I then put the site in my favorites list. This morning I clicked on the favorite I saved & got a virus warning. Since then I tried multiple times with the same results. I decided to disarm my avast anti virus software & then try & I get to the page with no issues. I then re armed the avast & again tried to login but again got a virus threat & could not get on their site. Something in the avast software changed from yesterday to today.

Hi dommm, I also use Avast and got the same phishing notification when I clicked on Loonie's link. Sometimes I notify companies when this happens. Ultimately, you may wish to ignore the warning. I think you can tell Avast the site is "OK."

Thanks for that MG. I went to my Avast software & added the site to the Exceptions list & while I still get a virus warning I get to their site.

I use Bitdefender and had no issues getting in, although the link took me to a useless webpage. I just clicked on their logo and went to the home page (in Chinese) and translated to English (top right corner).

They should have changed account numbers without asking.
Imo, not a good idea to turn off Avast when it is telling you something.
What bothers me on this 5 year offer has nothing to do with the offer itself but it has to do with the current "climate", "environmental demands" and the sunny ways that are all used up.
So what is life going to be like in Canada in 5 years?

Seems fine to me though. I use the NOD32 antivirus for years and I found this wealth one recently, and has no issues visiting it so far. I used Kaspersky before and it literally banned me from entering everywhere.

Wealth One monthly e-statement for December just available today, they appear to be using the same platform as some others so I'm not sure why they're always way slow. Otherwise I like Wealth One.
