Just over a week ago, out of the blue, I received a confirmation for an Investment Portfolio Review. LOL no way would I want a review. I use them for my needs and that's it!!! And I did NOT fill out an online request.

So I receive what looks like a legit Vancity appointment confirmation. And I was able to cancel it by clicking the Manage Appointment box in the email and received a confirmation of the cancellation.

But it keeps bothering me a bit though.

The persons name is legit, the address is legit. And my name, email and phone number is correct on the email. But there is no way that I would travel to the part of Vancouver nor at for a 4PM appointment (unless it was someone that I really wanted to see, but not at 4PM). And based on the other two idiots that I have visited it's very unlikely any ways. And my name, email and phone number is correct.

So I have the emails on paper and am planning to see an advisor at the end of the month. Was going to discuss why this appointment was sent to me....but rethinking it....either one of the narrow minded (tunnel visioned) idiots would NOT be of any help as in the last 2 visits I have pointed out that the number they have for our home number is incorrect and I have asked them to fix...and it has not been....nor have I been advised to who I should approach to do so.

I have also found that if I call them and ask how do I transfer a TFSA from a bank to them...where do I find the forms to fill out (<= just playing dumb on that one) and they then advise I have to go into the branch to have the forms done for me. And probably a bit of a con job to expose my self to an advisor. But the real reason for calling is that I can then choose the advisor that I would like to see over the phone. But cannot, if I fill out the request to see one online.

So in regards to the email. In your opinion who should I contact?
An advisor
A teller
The branch manager
Their telephone service
Or mail to the CEO, who hides himself.
OR???

Just lost 100% confidence in Vancity. Today’s email.

1. Shouldn’t have sent.
2. Shouldn’t have had an email address to reply to.

Should have said to contact your branch in person or call in or find the email on their website.

Was the email legitimately sent from Vancity. Not going to waste my time to confirm if it was or not.

Just out of good practice I never use a link in an email from a bank or a credit card company. I use my book marked link or email adrees from my contacts list.
