FWIW, pretty well every stock I've ever bought is usually lower a week or so later, if not the same or next day. Very rare to hit the absolute low price in a given period of time, say a month. As Norman1 says, that's been irrelevant in the longer run.

But I do feel that people who do a few extra things to try to finagle that absolute lowest price are not automatically disqualified from being an "investor", more than one way to be an investor.
