Actually, not being able to do me to me transfer directly from Alterna Bank's TFSA is a major annoyance. You have to call them each time to want to withdraw from the TFSA. This includes transfer from the TFSA account to another account at Alterna. Peoples Trust allows direct transfer from their TFSA to external banks, which they enabled earlier this year.
