By September 9 that could be 0.4% extra over posted rate, or even better.
Must be another kind of lottery, I have not got such email.

My wife got an offer from Tangerine but it was 5% for 180 days on a non registered GIC.

I got the 4.75 for a year too... I guess decent GIC rates are now part of the targeted offer game too {sigh}. I may take advantage of it, but will wait right to the end since I am earning 5.5 in the savings account right now, and I might as well wait until after the next BoC announcement (Sep4) to help guide my decision.
