"Additional Interest will only apply to net new Eligible Deposits that raise the Applicable Account Type balance above the January 04, 2017 balances and any deposits in an Applicable Account equal to or less than the Applicable Account Type balances as at January 04, 2017 will not earn Additional Interest."
Would anyone know if Tangerine means beginning-of-day or end-of-day balances found on Jan 04, 2017? I ask because I transferred my funds out on January 04, 2017.

I've been out of the chasing interest rates game for so long BUT who uses beginning-of-the-day balances to calculate interest?

It's not about calculating interest, it's about the ambiguous wording "as at January 04" as it relates to eligible promo bonus interest amounts, so it makes sense to verify. As Righand indicates, need to ask them.
