Thank you, Lazyways. Spouse's last offer ended just over a year ago, she got this one. I'm on an offer for a few more days, haven't used it, I didn't get this one.

Are these targeted offers only found on the "insights" tab when logged in, or do they ever advise you directly at the email address on file for the account?
Any ideas how and on what criteria they decide who get these offers?

Never got an offer via email, always either see it when I log in to account or when I used to call them to dicker. I don't think criteria have been figured out, seems to be somewhat random.

I called and spoke to a Tangerine agent this morning and she said "no 2% for you".

Good thing for this forum - I always have an email error in my insights, regardless of how many times I retype it (and didn't yet get an email re the offer). Yet, I got a confirmation email on the new rate. Go figure.

My wife has a Tangerine joint savings account where she is the primary account holder and I am the secondary. There was a balance of $20,000 in the account on Dec 1st. She is earning a promotional rate of 1.6%. I have a Tangerine joint savings account where I am the primary and my wife is secondary that had almost zero balance on Dec 1st.
I signed up for the 2% promotional rate yesterday. If we transfer the $20,000 to the joint account where I am primary, will the $20,000 earn interest at the 2% rate?

I got the offer too. However, I received a phone call from Tandia today. ONLY FOR THOSE who can deal with Tandia CU: wait with transfers (of non-reg only) to piddly 2% Tang till Monday, 06dec2021. You will thank me after.
