Tangerine is offering 2% as retention rate promo for savings account, just tell the CSR that "you will withdraw your entire funds" and demand 2% otherwise "you'll close your account". I was successful doing this yesterday.

For sport, of course. It's a treadmill that has no OFF switch and has people having to constantly watch rates and move cash around - I got off that treadmill many, many years ago.

I'm retired, too young for pension so investing my money for maximum return is just doing business.
"Sport" doesn't remotely enter into the equation.
The sport is that I'm young enough to have a "sporting" and fun retirement thanks to mindful money management.

User230, some people do this because they keep $100k in EQ and Tangerine is a second, third or other option without exceeding CDIC limits.
