"Diddly Squat"
But Johnny ... Some here may need help with that ⬆️, as well . . .
.
i.e. Diddly Squat = 'Nothing' / 'Nothing Whatsoever'.
e.g. Cgouimet (and others?) may know Diddly Squat about what Squat (Diddly Squat) means.

So nice.
I know diddly squat but wasn't sure what he meant with just plain squat.

OfflineCinnamon Hitler just replaced the US fed chief with someone expected to be more supportive of rates falling to make the economy "look" better. That would square with sacking federal statistics chief. This may be prompting some financial institutions (even up here in Canada) to start easing rate commitments.

OfflineDoes anyone here have concerns about Tangerine's security ? I was considering opening my first ever HISA account there, and the 4.5% for 4 mths, that goes along with that; however, a family member warned me again it, saying 'that their online security is terrible. They only support a 6-digit numeric number as a password! Something a modern hacker can guess in 60 seconds! And they only support text/sms for 2FA, not 3rd party authentication apps, which are much more secure.
Thoughts?

You now have the option to use a password which requires a minimum of 12 characters made up of a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.

I didn't know that. I have been operating with a 6-digit number and I do not recall being ever offered this longer alpha-numeric-special option. Interesting.
Also, with logins from New/Different/NotRemembered you will get a verification code sent to your phone ...

thanks for that, JohnnyCash ... might just take another look, given there are quite a few regs here who play the Tang Promo lottery on an ongoing basis; and I can't recall reading about any recent successful hacks, where the victim did everything correct, but was not reimbursed by Tang.
I've been at TNG since 2002. Never had or heard of security issues ...

A 6-digit PIN will still be required for identity verification when calling Tangerine. The option to change from PIN to password is now available in settings.

I too, a Tang client for many years, have not faced any security issues. Tang is following an accepted industry standard for online log in security. CIBC does the same, 2FA. Folks who are not online security conscious are more likely to be at risk than self-aware ones.
