Is the ING Direct brand a leader for high interest savings accounts? | Tangerine Bank | Discussion forum

I recently received an interesting package in the mail from ING Direct that included a book about its history (called "The Orange Code") and some information about its revamped referral program. Of particular interest to me was that they also notified me that they had back-dated some referral bonuses from when I'd referred quite a few people a couple of years ago. This spurred me to write a short article about their smart business pratices.

As we've noted on this site, ING Direct isn't the leader in rates, nor does its savings account provide the most features. However, its branding is quite phenomenal.
