16 Oct ING raised most their GIC rates:
1 1/2 year UP 0.15%, 2,3,4 and 5 year GIC UP 0.25%.
A small step in the right direction.

That is great news. I'll take any increase in rates to help support savers.
Bond rates have been going up as of late in the USA and Canada to attract what little cash is remaining out there (ie. savers and investors) to chase the growing debts. So it is nice to see GIC's going up as well not just the bonds.
