Must be nice....I have repeatedly tried to open a business account but they do not accept a holding company as a business.....any suggestions other than lieing about what type of business it is. It is an Alberta #'d company and I am currently invested in low interest savings .3 % at Scotia and a equity
market based wealth account. Would love to participate in 1.3% offering.

Can you not use oaken financial? I guess it depends on the sum you are depositing though.

I received an email from Tangerine offering 1.60% until March 31, 2022. I was already an existing customer. I jumped on the offer right away. My partner is also trying to get on it but with no luck. What one has to do to get the promo rate by email? We called Tangerine and they said it's only for "selected" customers. I don't buy it.

Does your partner share your household? If you share the same household, Tangerine has told me that they will extend the same offer to everyone in the household. Call in and ask for it. You may need to speak to a supervisor.

Thanks Herman. I called Tangerine this afternoon and they extended the offer to my partner. They mentioned because my offer was activated within the last 30 days, they were able to extend it to my partner as well, since we live in the same household. Happy camper here!
