How about a spot on the main page for showing current number of registered members?

I have been on other sites that also show what members are logged on and what moderators are logged on.
Not sure of the value or time to build it all.
It is a worth while effort to turn on ALERTS on your Credit Cards and Bank/Credit Union Accounts.

I've been on sites too that display more info.
But, really, what does it matter?
I can see it where there is a chat room and you are deciding if you wish to join in, but not for regular activity.

I agree Loonie, I was mostly just interested in the total members and perhaps watching it grow.

Here is one I was mentioning. Has birthdays too. But who puts the right one in?

Unless it is part of the 'stock' software, I wouldn't burden adminstrators with working special coding.

This forum software actually has a "statistics" block but I'd removed it because I found it distracting. I can say that there are about 9000 registered users right now, although I'm sure that most of them are not active.
