Recently, new ads are appearing on this forum. The ones that block half your phone screen and require users to click a tab to get them out of the way are quite annoying IMO. I don't mind ads but not these.

What to you think? Would you like to see them gone?

I get zero ads on my desktop, as they are all wiped away by AdBlocker.

I use both Opera and Firefox on an iMac. The software is called AdBlocker Ultimate, and it is free.

Can you using AdBlocker Ultimate select part of the screen you Do want to block? Not only ads but lets say video player boxes, or some fixed blocks of web page?
For example if you would like to block blue rectangle on top of this page with wording 'Savers Roundup...'?

Assuming it takes a person 1 minute a day dealing with these annoyances and lets assume one-half of the canadian population wastes this 1 minute each and every day on average. That works out to 13888 man-years of lost time. That's a lot of lost fish frying time! ....not to mention what the world population is losing.
