0.15% is not considered High Interest so I assume that's why Tangerine doesn't qualify for the HISA chart.

I agree neither Tangerine nor Simplii should be in the HISA list. Their base rates are big bank atrocious.

As I recall, the consensus was that to be eligible to be on the chart, they must actually offer a high base interest rate...NOT just promo rates...which are posted elsewhere on the site. Especially with Tang & Simplii's practice of offering different rates to different clients.
Peter made a good choice not including them...and I don't miss having to scroll past their meager offerings on the chart.

I took most of my savings out of Tangerine last year. Although it is not a lot of money it is parked in a HISA at a CU. Better than ZERO/PEANUTS.

Their current rate of .1% is the definition of "peanuts". I'll give you it's double Tang's rate, but that's not saying much. I can't find a BC based CU that offers even a 1% HISA.

Thanx Vatox. Chequing is .05 & HISA is .15. That's a whole $50 a year on 100K. I may have to re-evaluate my relationship with CC and move the nothing I have with them In a HISA to Tang
