When I logged into Simplii today I had an offer to open a new US$ savings account and earn 1.65% until September 30.
This would be (temporarily) better than the 1.25% at EQ.

Seems like lots of restrictions are the norm, for USD accounts
I cannot use ATM for my TD USD, nor can I use the deposit app
(I was able, however, to link to TANG USD account)

In theory, you should be able to link from the Tangerine side if you have a USD account with them to push and pull funds.

I linked from EQ $USD account, Unfortunately linking requires you to sign in from EQ side with Simplii card # and PW.

Not if Simplii doesn't make the Simplii US$ Savings account available to receive US$ pre-authorized debits and direct deposits through the Payments Canada USBE system.

Did you select CIBC and then used SIMPLII BC# ? it doesn't work for me !

I opened the account and tried to link it from Tangerine's side. Got an email this morning that the small test deposits had been rejected. Don't have a USD account with EQ yet, so will wait to hear if Bruford had any success

Double-check your linking process to make sure you correctly selected the "USD" radio button. Once, I forgot to select it, when I tried to link to a USD account and was also rejected. Re-doing it correctly got a proper linkage established.

Transfer to IBK REJECT-INVALID INST NO.
After linking my EQ with Simplii and 5 days of waiting for transfer from EQ $US to Simplii $US, the money came back to my EQ account. Wasted effort and minor loss of interest.
