Simplii has a 2.25% promo by invitation for Existing HISAs.
2.25% = regular + promotional interest. The promotional interest
is paid on the balance that exceeds the June 30 balance. Login
and a window invites you to accept the offer.

Details at
https://www.simplii.com/content/dam/simplii-public-assets/documents/pdf/promotional-savings-rate-offer-hisa-jul25-bb-st225.pdf

2.25% is not a great rate.

2¼% is a significant step up from the saving account's regular rates:

If your account balance is: Annual Rate
$0.00 to $50,000.00 0.30%
$50,000.01 to $100,000.00 0.50%
$100,000.01 to $500,000.00 0.60%
$500,000.01 to $1,000,000.00 0.75%
$1,000,000.01 and up 1.50%

Yes, unfortunately not really great compared to alternatives available.

2.25% vs 3.35% ... that's a huge gap. Simplii is not known to make new offer every month ... I'll have to wait for October now.

The regular interest rate of Motive Savvy savings account is 2.25%. Simplii's 2.25% offer makes no sense.

Maybe the 2.25% is a typo. Maybe it is actually 7.25%, LOL.

Got another email from Simplii offering 2.25%. Maybe Simplii understandably got no takers so they thought it's worth their while to repeat the same 2.25% offer again.

Question:
Does declining a current Simplii offer make it easier or harder to get the next promo?

Today I also got email with 2.25% offer from Simplii until Sept 30.

No, thanks, will not activate.

I believe it needs to be activated, but don't care to check that, did not pressed any buttons, deleted email.

In the Simplii Offers section, you can click "no thanks" to the offer, but it does nothing and the offer just sits there. Simplii often has a very badly run website.
And that Simplii offer is crap, but if a person takes it, it's great for Simplii and CIBC.

My (targeted) offer was 3.7% for non-registered HISA until Sept 30/25. Best I can tell, it is a targeted offer, with the interest rate also variable based on the person who got the targeted offer.

I also got a 3.9% offer on registered. The 3.7% offer on non-registered was separate from that.

My experience is that Simplii does roughly one targeted offer on non-registered HISA per year, for each account holder - though this is the first time that I've seen what appears to be different interest rates offered to different account holders.

Admin: this targeted offer is not shown on the promo page?

Simplii promos NEVER work as advertised for me. For this promo I received an email invitation and promptly logged in to online banking and checked my offers as instructed and found no promo offer there (as usual).

How to Enrol in the Offer
If a client wishes to participate in the Offer, the primary account holder must enrol during the Offer
Period by accepting the offer through digital banking. Following enrolment, you will receive an email
confirming the Eligible HISAs that are enrolled in the Offer. For clarity, any new HISAs opened during
the Offer Period by invited clients are ineligible for this Offer. If you hold multiple HISAs, Simplii
Financial has sole discretion to determine which accounts are eligible for the Offer. Only the
accounts identified in the enrolment email will be eligible for the Offer.
You should make sure you are contributing to an Eligible HISA that is enrolled in the Offer based on
the account identified in the enrolment confirmation email. Deposits made to an account that is not
enrolled will not be eligible for the Offer.

Since the offer was only 2.25% I was more interested in checking to see if it would show up than in actually participating in it so I checked back periodically with same results and then I got another email reminder and this time I used the link in the email (which caused my adblocker to give me a warning which I ignored) and it took me to login page. I then closed this window and logged in using my bookmarked site and checked for offers and nothing as usual. Maybe I need to login using link in their email but I won't do that as I consider it bad practice.
This has been the case with every Simplii promo I can recall and then I would have to phone in and enroll that way and then I would get a "trust me you're enrolled" and most times a confirmation email and never had a problem after that point but I never feel I can take them at their word until I see the first promo interest deposit. Not impressed.

Revised targeted promo at 3.6% being offered, login to see if you got lucky. Rate effective until 30 September.

Ps. Tangerine is also apparently targeting an offer at 3.7%, again, login to see it you got lucky. Rate effective until 31 October.

I had the same experience with this latest "promo". I received the email, but no promo on the website for me. I called Simplii; the agent said he enrolled me manually.
