Revised targeted promo at 3.6% being offered, login to see if you got lucky. Rate effective until 30 September.

I got the revised 3.60% as well but the usefulness is down to ~50 days now

Accepted anyways

This deserves its own thread. 🙂

I received this offer as well. Looks like an improved offer from Simplii for those who declined the previous 2¼% offer.

Higher 3.6% rate. Later August 4 date for starting closing balance:

† This special interest rate offer is available starting on August 7, 2025 and ending on September 30, 2025 at 11:59 pm UTC (the “Offer Period”), by invitation only, to primary account holders of a Simplii Financial High Interest Savings Account opened before the Offer Period (an “Eligible HISA”). Account holders must enroll their Eligible HISAs in the offer through online banking or by contacting Simplii Financial.

The special annual interest rate of 3.6% is a combination of regular annual interest rate (“Regular Interest”) and promotional annual interest rate (“Promotional Interest”) set by Simplii Financial. Any change to the Regular Interest will result in a corresponding change to the Promotional Interest so that the overall special annual interest rate will remain 3.6% from the date of enrolment until the end of the Offer Period.

Regular Interest is calculated daily at the current rate applicable to the Eligible HISA balance on each day’s full closing balance. Promotional Interest is calculated daily on each day's closing balance that exceeds the closing balance as at August 4, 2025 (the “Additional Balance”) up to a maximum balance limit of $500,000. Eligible HISAs will earn Promotional Interest from the date of enrolment until the end of the Offer Period. …

Got the offer, as well. Funny enough, my spouse has not... The shortest offer ever.

It's just a tease for now. We all know it's short in duration, Simplii is scheming.

You're right , they just got more eyeballs on a 50 day promo with a middle of the road interest rate. This would actually work for me now but their standing offer is 2.25%

In hindsight, this August offer made the July acceptance an even more regrettable decision.

My original offer of 2.25% has today been upgraded to 3.6%. However, that is still not as good as the 3.75% I'm getting at Tangerine for a month longer, so I will let this latest Simplii offer elapse.

It seems that it does not pay to accept an early Simplii offer.

Yes. It seems I have learned my lesson here. (i.e, by accepting the 2.25%)
I had convinced myself that it really didn't matter
Wrong!

After declining a few offers, I got very good offer and after that another was just regular "as everybody else" offer.

The short duration of the offer at 3.6% leads me to think they might do an extension offer at the end of September.

Heads Up!

I received the offer by email and accepted it two days ago by clicking on the link. Was then presented with a confirmation screen, but did not receive a confirmation email. Today, the Simplii app popped up a notification with the same offer. After logging into the app and accepting the same offer I was again presented with a confirmation screen. However, this time I received an email minutes later confirming the new rate.

If you've accepted the offer but haven't received the confirmation email: it may not actually be active.

I didn't get confirmation email. However, it said activated in the My Offers tab.

I received the confirmation e-mail and the 3.6% offer appears in My Offers, marked as "Activated".

Some people have reported inexplicable failures to received the confirmation e-mails from Simplii, even after calling and having Simplii send the e-mails again. I suspect it is from overagressive spam filtering.

The last confirmation e-mail I received does look suspicious. Message ID ends in .sparkpost. The reply-to address is in the abmarketing01.com domain and is not the same as the domain of the from address, servicing.simplii.com:

Doesn't look like anything nefarious:

I received the upgrade email as well and clicked on the link but did not receive a confirming email. When I logged into the account, it was not in My Offers tab either. I ended up calling Simplii and they had to set it up for me and then I received the confirmation email while on the phone with the rep.
