Can anyone tell me what Royal policy is re posting accrued interest to the HISA account?

Just looked this morning, to see if they had posted interest to Aug 31, but nada

Notes at the bottom of RBC: Personal Accounts Interest Rates give the timing of the monthly interest payment for their Canadian dollar and foreign currency accounts:

Interest is earned in the currency of the account.

Interest is calculated daily on the closing credit balance and paid monthly on the 2nd business day of the following calendar month backdated to the previous business day. The interest rate is an annual interest rate. The interest calculation for each account is a simple interest calculation.

Foreign Currency Accounts: Deposit Interest is credited to the Account on the last Business Day of the calendar month. If it is a non-Business Day, the interest will be paid the next Business Day.

Interest for August should be posted Wednesday. Today (Monday, Sept. 1) is Labour Day and doesn't count as the first business day of the month.

That's okay. Looking at my statements, it wasn't obvious to me why the exact interest payment date moved around a bit!

Also, for some reason, RBC didn't include that information for their Canadian dollar accounts with the account agreements.

Well, maybe that provides me a bit of an excuse?sf-laugh

In any event, when I checked this morning, sure enough, as advertised, the interest had been posted
Thanks again
