I was successful in pulling funds from my Royal account into my Meridian account
Not using flinks, using Meridian Me2Me procedures
(I also got checks from Royal, because of my concern on getting funds out)

How do you transfer out funds from this account?
I have tried to pull out a few thousands (so not much) using Flinks (via the other FI). Everything went well until I hit the 'Transfer' button. …

Not sure if you'd want to do that. With the RBC High Interest eSavings account, only transfers to other RBC accounts in the same name and the first ATM cash withdrawal each month are free.

Other debits (like cheques, pre-authorized debits, and Interac e-Transfers) are $5 each.

Anyone else has experienced this issue?

Open a Day-to-Day savings account, it's free and has 1 free debit transaction per statement cycle. When it's time to withdraw you funds, do a transfer from e-Savings to the Day-to-Day savings account with no fee.

Thank you all for your suggestions.
I was aware of the $5 fee, but I did not know how to get around that, so I was willing to pay it.
