Called CRA and they said they would use both slips upon filing and reviewing income taxes. Both slips have identical amounts but are both listed as original. Not a duplicate. CRA told me to contact the issuer and have one slip cancelled. Called Peoples Trust and they are aware and let CRA know of this error at the beginning of March. CRA said they would have this corrected within 24-48 hours and put a note on file. Now March 31 and no corrections! Peoples Trust will get back to me in 5 business days! I find this totally unacceptable! I would’ve liked to file my return as I have a sizeable refund. Anyone else have a T4RSP from Peoples Trust for 2025? Thoughts?

Hi. Had similar with Hubert.

You need to make sure the duplicate disappears from your My Account at CRA. I believe you won’t see it, but if you call CRA they will see the cancelled one. And for sure neither of them say “amended”?

Oddly,,,,,I am still waiting to see my T5s for people’s show on CRA.

Ask to talk to a supervisor or manager at people’s. The average CSRs there aren’t that competent.

Hold off on doing your taxes.

CRA's matching program won't be run until November or even later, just file reporting one slip and your return will be accepted as filed, you'll get your refund, doesn't matter what My Account says. Hopefully by November CRA's system will be corrected and everything will be fine.
