I know they make it as difficult as possible. Their Flinks implementation fails on almost every institution, and customer service is so bad as to be likely criminally negligent. And they won't let you do a PAD form to link accounts... so here's the only way I discovered to move money out in any quantity exceeding interac e-transfer limits.
Wealthsimple. Linking accounts there has worked with 100% of the accounts I've linked to it. It can pull from PC financial - so far it's the only institution I've found that can do so. It can also push to seemingly any institution.
So, use their cash account as an intermediary... It's pretty much the only option.

I have 4 cards and gave one to each kid.
We keep funds on them for all kids and I e-transfer in to my card and disperse it from there.
A great way to start young kids on cards and let them learn with minimal risk.

Wealthsimple Cash account uses Flinks and/or Plaid, if I'm not mistaken? Does it allow for external links to be created via micro deposits/void cheque/pad method? Thanks.

Yes, it does.
You can trigger the manual linking only on the desktop platform by cancelling the window of "Add a New Account" after selecting your intended external bank.

I had issues linking from PC to other FI's when using the app, but via desktop it worked fine with Motive.

Thanks for sharing. I was on another continent and missed the news. As a contented client of both institutions, each with its own deficiencies, I’m optimistic about the merger.
