OfflineI have been advised a few times that to transfer TFSAs either way for
Home Bank and Home Trust you need to do a transfer form.
Today I just couldn’t get my head around the process and called in to request to have what I did, cancelled. They did. Then I tried again and my screen froze..so I called in. They offered to do it all for me! I then mentioned, what about the transfer form? Was advised it is all under
“Oaken” and since it was transferred from TFSA savings .. no transfer was required. Nice!
Any thoughts on the above?
Also day before I did TFSAs from my TFSA savings. I had to do one at a time. Are you not supposed to be able to “do another” and “another” etc. then just finish up?

OfflineStarting January 22, 2025, the TFSA savings account is no longer a separate TFSA trust from the TFSA trust holding the TFSA GIC's.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR HOME TRUST COMPANY TAX-FREE SAVINGS ACCOUNT1
At Home Trust Company (“Home Trust”, “we”, “us” or “our”), we are committed to keeping you informed about matters that affect your account. The Declaration of Trust you received when you opened your Tax Free Savings Account (“TFSA”) has been amended to, among other items, add a savings account (the “Savings Account”) as an investment option under the TFSA.
These amendments are effective as of January 22, 2025. Please be assured that these amendments do not affect the value of the investments in your TFSA or the nature of your relationship with your investment advisor or with Home Trust.

No TFSA direct transfer needed now to move funds between the Oaken TFSA GICs and the Oaken TFSA savings account if Home Trust ported the same changes to the Oaken TFSA savings account and Oaken GICs.
