Loonie is/was a long-time forum user and I greatly appreciate(d) their contributions (never did figure out if they were the husband or the wife from the personal anecdotes they shared, only surmising that they were the primary household budget manager). However, I haven't seen or heard from them in awhile. Based on their forum posting and thread creation history, it looks like this thread they started in late December 2024, just before Christmas, was the last time we'd heard from them.

Has anyone heard from them, publicly or privately, since them?

Loonie, I hope all is well with you, and, if you have passed on, take comfort in knowing that your forum contributions were appreciated and you will be missed greatly, just as I'm sure those in the real world miss you greatly as well. sf-cool

Cheers,
Doug

.
A while back (sometime early last year?) there was another thread asking about Loonie, but I can't seem to find it now.

Maybe he (she?) just decided to move on ... but we may never know.

That sounds like this summer 2025 thread.

I wouldn't read too much into Loonie's absence. Life situations change by choice, or by circumstance. I've participated in half a dozen financial discussion forums over the years and long time members move on for a variety of reasons.

Of the half dozen or so financial forums I have participated in over the past ~30 years, there are 2 of them that I have not been active, nor posted, in for several years.

Yes, Loonie always had words of wisdom for us. I suspect that her mother, who was close to 100 years old, passed away and no doubt Loonie is busy as the executor. Well, that is my wild guess.

Hope she returns one of these days!
